Model BSP-901
Moisture Measurement and Control System with NIR Sensor
Description:
To determine moisture on a continuous basis, the Model BSP-901 Moisture and Control System uses the principle of comparing reflected energy at two near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths. A stabilized infrared source is focused on the material to be measured, and reflected energy is filtered at two different wavelengths—one calibrated specifically for moisture and the other as a reference. The ratio of the two signals is derived electronically, and the resulting moisture content is presented on the digital display. This non-contact NIR technique can measure near-surface moisture in a wide range of applications.

Model BSP-901 Moisture Measurement and Control System with RF Sensor
Description:
The BSP-901 RF Sensor employs a radio frequency (RF) power-loss technique that operates at 2 MHz. The sensor projects an RF field into the sample and measures the field power loss (change in RF dielectric constant) caused by moisture. Thus, the system response is a measure of the total water in the RF field, which is directly related to the moisture content of the material. The underlying RF power-loss absorption principle is a Moisture Register patented feature.

Model BSP-901 Moisture Measurement and Control System with the Microwave Moisture Sensor
Description:
The Microwave Moisture Analyzer has been designed to be compatible with the BSP-901 Console to make a complete bale moisture measurement and display system. The integrated system delivers all of the proven features of the BSP-901. This bale application system is appropriate for most baled moisture-content applications, including cotton, tobacco, and recycled paper, to cite just a few. The microwave analyzer can measure completely through the bale to show total moisture content. What’s more, the measurement is just as accurate whether the bale is moving or stationary.

Model SMART II Moisture Measurement and Control System with NIR Sensor
Description:
To determine moisture on a continuous basis, the SMART II Moisture and Control System uses the principle of comparing reflected energy at two NIR wavelengths. The Smart II System also includes S2Comm communication software, which can be used to display as many as four moisture meter outputs on any PC monitor.

OPTIONAL: OPTO-PORT Sampling System Analyzer
Description:
The Opto-Port is a patented sampling device for use with the SMART II and BSP-901 Moisture Analyzing Systems. The Opto-Port can perform moisture measurement of powdered materials within a closed conveying system such as within pneumatic piping or under a rotary airlock valve. Installed directly into the conveying system, the stainless steel Opto-Port is attached to a Moisture Register Products' NIR Sensor. Product moisture is read through a quartz window at the end of the Opto-Port (usually inside a drop pipe). A regulated air blast instantly removes old product from the measurement window so that a new reading is taken every 3-5 seconds. No moving parts are necessary to make the moisture measurement.
