L&W Strip Punch

Quick and accurate sample strip preparation

L&W Strip Punch provides you with precisely cut sample strips, which can be used in tensile strength tests, fracture toughness tests, compression strength tests, bending stiffness tests, or ring crush tests.

L&W Strip Punch is used for preparation of sample strips with exact dimensions. It is a sturdy model, which can be fastened to a base or a bench. The punch and the die are manufactured of tempered tool steel, thus ensuring long life. According to standards a parallelism of ±0.1 mm has to be achieved, which never can be done with a strip cutter.

 

A raw sample is placed in the punch and then the handle is manually pressed down. The sequential cutting action starting with one of the short sides of the sample first, then both long sides and finally the second short side, increases the capacity of the punch. The sample strips are collected in a box under the stand.
