L&W Air Permeance Tester
Wide measuring range with L&W Air Permeance Tester
L&W Air Permeance Tester uses the latest technology to measure air permeance in accordance with the most common measuring methods. It is a single instrument with a measuring range covering 0.003–100 µm/Pa s, which makes it suitable for most paper grades.
L&W Air Permeance Tester is a fully integrated instrument, with compact design to be as convenient as possible to use. Once the measuring sequence has been set the operator simply places the paper sample in the measuring gap. Then a sensor detects the paper and the measuring process starts. The paper is automatically clamped in position with a clamping pressure of 1 MPa, and readings are taken according to the preset measuring time. Then the clamp opens and a new sample can be measured.
The results are shown in the selected unit of measurement, on the display and printed out on the built-in printer. Results can also be sent to a PC via the signal output.
Excellent precision
The traceable calibration of the pressure transmitter and flow meter ensures a very high level of reproducibility. The easy check functions of the instrument, guarantees fast and reliable routine measurements with the highest possible precision. Not to forget, L&W Air Permeance Tester is truly environmentally friendly, as the use of mercury and oil has been eliminated.
Automatic clamping
Manual methods of measuring air permeance can be slow and laborious, but with L&W Air Permeance Tester measuring is automatic and fast, thereby guaranteeing correct measurements. Errors and poor reproducibility, which can be caused by differences in instrument handling, are effectively prevented. The preset measuring time is usually
5 seconds for all kinds of samples, thereby saving considerable time when measuring paper grades with low levels of air permeance.
